    "body": "<p>Photographer: Martin Smeds&eacute;n</p><p><strong>The planning of Icehotel 33 is in full swing and the selection process for next winter&acute;s art and designs is now completed. Out of a total of 135 applicants from 23 different countries, 24 artists from 10 countries have now been selected.</strong></p><p>After The Call for Proposal has been suspended for the past two years due to the pandemic and restrictions, creative souls from all over the world have once again been able to apply to be a part of creating Icehotel.</p><p>While Icehotel 32 is melting and reuniting with Torne River, the hotel with its creative director, Luca Roncoroni, has selected the 24 artists who will create the art in this year&#039;s winter hotel.</p><p>In November, shortly after the first snowflake falls, the artists will traditionally gather in Jukkasj&auml;rvi, 200 kilometers North of the Arctic Circle, to jointly create the 2,870 m2 seasonal hotel consisting of 12 Art Suites, 24 Ice Rooms, and 1 Ceremony Hall.</p><p>- Icehotel 33 will be amazing for many reasons! Not only because artists from all over the world will create unique experiences in ice and snow, but also because we were finally able to hold an open international competition again. It has been a challenge to pick only 12 concepts out of so many great ideas, and we want to give a big thank you to every single artist who sent a submission. Now that we have made a selection, we are eager to start planning the details of the next winter hotel and of course welcome the artists in Jukkasj&auml;rvi at the end of November! Icehotel 33 will truly be a unique experience! says Luca Roncoroni, Creative Director at Icehotel.</p><p>In addition to the new concepts for the Art Suites and Ceremonial Hall in Icehotel 33, a new Deluxe Suite has also been added to Icehotel 365, the hotel&#039;s year-round cold building. This Deluxe Suite is called &quot;The Ice are the Window to the Soul&quot; and is created by Tim Linhart &amp; Giovanna Martinez.
