Guests are greeted by sparkling ice&nbsp;art&nbsp;and Arctic cocktails served in glasses made from&nbsp;crystal-clear&nbsp;ice from the Torne River. The bar is kept at&nbsp;-5 degrees Celsius year-round, and visitors can now experience the magic that has made ICEHOTEL an international icon &ndash; without leaving the city&rsquo;s pulse.</p><p>&ndash;&nbsp;&ldquo;It feels incredible to open the doors to this world of ice right on&nbsp;Str&oslash;get. Now Copenhagen&rsquo;s visitors can experience a taste of our world &ndash;&nbsp;it&rsquo;s&nbsp;a dream come true,&rdquo;&nbsp;says Marie&nbsp;Herrey, CEO of ICEHOTEL.</p><p>Step Into &ldquo;Origin&rdquo; &ndash; Where the Torne River Meets Copenhagen&nbsp;ICEBAR&nbsp;is designed by the artist duo Christian&nbsp;Str&ouml;mqvist&nbsp;and Karl-Johan Ekeroth and is called &ldquo;Origin.&rdquo; The theme celebrates water as the source of life and the Torne River &ndash; the place where ICEHOTEL&rsquo;s story began, and the material that creates both ICEHOTEL and ICEBAR. The bar is built with&nbsp;50 tons of&nbsp;crystal-clear&nbsp;natural ice, carefully shaped by artists and builders together with lighting designers. When the ice melts, it returns to water &ndash; a reminder of nature&rsquo;s continuous cycle and a tribute to ice, which provides new possibilities for creation&nbsp;in&nbsp;this renewable material every year.</p><p>The experience:</p><ul class=\"release-content-list release-content-list--bulleted release-content-list--align-inherit\"><li><span>Guests start in a warm lounge, are given&nbsp;capes and gloves, and then enter&nbsp;this frozen universe (-5 degrees Celsius year-round).</span></li><li><span>Cocktails and sparkling drinks&nbsp;are served in glasses made from Torne River ice. In collaboration with&nbsp;Norrbottens&nbsp;Destilleri, the drinks are inspired by the flavors of northern Sweden &ndash; spruce, pine, and wild berries meet Arctic creativity.</span></li><li><span>Around, the light reflects on&nbsp;ice art and design installations, creating a calm, almost magical atmosphere.</span></li><li><span>Whether enjoying a drink after work, celebrating something special, or hosting a kickoff with colleagues, ICEBAR offers an experience unlike any other in the heart of&nbsp;Str&oslash;get.</span></li></ul><p>Currently, the 36th version of ICEHOTEL is being created in Jukkasj&auml;rvi, northern Sweden. The total amount of ice used to create&nbsp;ICEHOTEL&nbsp;and&nbsp;ICEBARs&nbsp;equals just ten seconds of the river&rsquo;s natural flow.&nbsp;The ice&nbsp;is a renewable material, and when the design is changed, the art returns to water &ndash; the circle is complete.&nbsp;To cool ICEBAR&nbsp;COPENHAGEN,&nbsp;approximately&nbsp;118 kWh per&nbsp;day&nbsp;is&nbsp;used, which corresponds to 463 kWh of energy per square meter per year &mdash; in line with an average restaurant or bar, which typically uses 300&ndash;600 kWh/m&sup2; annually. The bar is powered by green electricity, making&nbsp;energy&nbsp;use&nbsp;as&nbsp;efficient&nbsp;and&nbsp;sustainable&nbsp;as&nbsp;possible.
