BERNADOTTE & KYLBERG DESIGN SUITE AT ICEHOTEL IN JUKKASJÄRVI
The award-winning design duo Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte and Oscar Kylberg has designed a suite at Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. The duo, who usually work in home furnishings, textiles, and lifestyle products, have now for the first time taken on a project consisting entirely of ice and snow.
The first snow will soon fall over Jukkasjärvi and the planning for this year's hotel with its new art is in full swing. 1,300 blocks of ice will now be transformed into the art and rooms of this year's hotel. This year, Icehotel has a unique collaboration together with the creative duo Bernadotte & Kylberg, who in early October will complete their suite in Icehotel 365, the year-round open ice and snow building at Icehotel.
- To create a concept and design a room in a unique Swedish environment, on nature's own terms, is simply a project that we wanted to accept. - says Oscar Kylberg, CEO of Bernadotte & Kylberg.
As the design duo's suite is located in Icehotel 365, it will be standing longer than the winter season 2021/2022. The room will be available for online booking shortly.

The room will be ready and open to receive guests this winter. The hotel's exhibition visitors will be able to enjoy the art during the days until 17.00 when the room closes to the public before the suite's night guests check in to stay the night surrounded by the incredible art.
Bernadotte & Kylberg's theme and design for the suite are not yet public and will be announced in connection with the opening this winter.

ABOUT ICEHOTEL
Icehotel opened in 1989 and is beside a hotel also an art exhibition with ever-changing art made out of ice and snow. Icehotel is created in a new guise every winter, completely made out of natural ice from Torne River, one of Sweden´s national rivers and last untouched waters. When the winter season´s hotel has melted back into the river during the spring, a part of the hotel remains; a place where visitors can experience the ice and show all year round.
