About Icehotel AB

The ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi is both a world-unique hotel and an art exhibition crafted from snow and ice.

Inspired by the Torne River, the first small gallery showcased art made from the river’s frozen waters. Since then, ICEHOTEL has been reborn in a new form each winter - a magical and fleeting creation that melts back into the river as the spring sun warms.

Now, over 30 years since we began, it’s possible to enjoy this magical experience all year round. ICEHOTEL 365, cooled by solar power, maintains a steady minus-five-degree temperature, allowing our guests to marvel at fantastic ice creations even under the midnight sun in summer.
