THE ART[IST]IC TABLE - THE FOOD EXPERIENCE WITH ARTISTIC GOLD FRAME
Every winter, Icehotel offers an art experience in the form of a winter hotel, built of ice and snow together with artists and designers from around the world. Now Icehotel creates the summer's unique tastes, adventures, and experiences in the wilderness, 200km north of the Arctic Circle. Everything is carefully selected, tailored with the unexpected, and created through the hotel's artistic filter.

Icehotel has since 1989 offered guests, from all around the world, a unique art experience, and will now for the first time bring the art out into nature during the summer season, this year in the form of a set table made of ice.
After a long winter sleep, nature reappears, and it is now time to discover what has rested deep beneath the snow during the winter and explore what is sometimes called Europe's last real wilderness.
The artist Anna Öhlund, who previously created the ceremonial hall "Skogen" in Icehotel 31, has been given this year's assignment to interpret Icehotel in summer garb, which resulted in the clearest block of ice, decorated in the northern spirit where water becomes ice and ice becomes water. Guests will be able to enjoy a unique and genuine dining experience in the northern wilderness, completely private for their company only.
- We have long dreamed of combining our art with the incredibly beautiful nature we have here in Jukkasjärvi during the summer. After our new gastronomic venture, we of course felt that food had to be a part of this artistic experience. We are so proud of this new, exclusive experience and we are looking forward to the premiere during the midsummer week, says Malin Franck, CEO of Icehotel.
In a glade in the arctic forest, next to Lake Salmijärvi, amid birdsong and the rustle of the wind, guests are greeted by a set table made of ice where they will be served a 4-course dinner cooked over an open fire by their private chef for the evening. The guests will get a unique opportunity to get close to the gastronomic art of cooking, this under the warming rays of the midnight sun early in the season, or perhaps to the first dancing northern lights in late August.
The menu, which consists of four servings, offers flavors and aromas inspired by Norrland cuisine. With carefully selected, local ingredients, guests are served delicacies such as reindeer, char, and cloudberries. The Art[ist]ic Table will be a memorable evening and a joy for all the senses.
In addition to the ice table, the same dining experience is also offered on a rustic wooden table located in the beautiful northern forest.
The dining experience The Art[ist]ic Table premieres during the midsummer week and can be booked from the 30thof march by phone or email, reservations@icehotel.com
